I haven’t posted in a while. I got really sick in the beginning of January and I’m just now feeling better. Thankfully my family didn’t get it! The one thing that did help me when I had almost no energy was Kathy Racoosin’s 30 day coloring challenge. It began January 15th. I encourage you to join – I am enjoying the challenge of coloring each day and I’d like to share a couple of the things I have colored.
I did some coloring with prismacolors and polychromos, but I will share those in a different post because I am planning on describing the differences between the two types of pencils.
This is the Let Us Rejoice stamp from Simon Says Stamp (I’ve posted a card using this stamp before because I love it and it is perfect for coloring) that I colored with watercolor pencils and a water brush pen, then added nuvo drops and some shimmer with a clear wink of Stella pen:
This is the finished card (sentiment is from the same stamp set – stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed on vellum):
For a different day of the challenge, I colored the Newton Loves Coffee stamps from Newton’s Nook with kaisercraft glitter gel pens and copic markers:
This is the card I made with one of those images (background is pattern paper from pebbles, heart is die cut from wood grain card stock, sentiment is from the same Newton’s Nook stamp set – stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed in silver):
Thanks to the fantastic Kathy Racoosin for hosting this challenge. I really enjoy seeing everyone’s projects on instagram.
That’s it for now! I’ll be back soon with more.
❤️, Angela
