Thank you for being so kind card

Happy new year!!!

I am so excited to be starting off the new year with a new blog! For my very first post, I am sharing a thank you card made with ‘Kind Flowers‘ stamps and the ‘kind’ die from Simon Says Stamp. The stamp set and die were included in the November 2017 card kit. I haven’t had a lot of time to play with the kit because I’ve been busy making Christmas cards. Now that the holidays are over, I can catch up with all of the supplies I haven’t used yet (YAY!). I love the large flower stamp from this set – and thought it would be perfect to color.  After stamping the flower with black memento ink on Neenah solar white card stock, I colored the images with Prismacolor premier colored pencils and used gamsol and blending stumps to blend the colors a little. I then stamped the word kind onto a beautiful blue Lawn Fawn card stock (it came from a rainbow pack) with versamark ink and embossed it with Ranger gold embossing powder. I ran the embossed word and die through my big shot to die cut. I used a wink of Stella clear brush pen liberally, to give the card lots of sparkle. I adhered the die cut ‘kind’  to the card using foam tape, stamped and embossed strips of vellum with the ‘thank you for being so kind’ stamp (masking the ‘kind’ so it wouldn’t stamp), adhered the finished cards onto panels of that same blue Lawn Fawn card stock with foam tape, then adhered those to card bases. I’m so happy with how they turned out! 😊
